Kilis Synagogue, also known locally as Kilis Havrası, is a historic building associated with the Jewish community that once lived in the city centre. Dating to the 19th century, it served a congregation affiliated with the Chief Rabbinate of Aleppo.
Its stone architecture, Hebrew inscriptions and Star of David motifs reflect the city’s Jewish heritage. After the community emigrated, the synagogue fell out of use and later underwent restoration. For travellers interested in historic buildings and Jewish cultural heritage in Kilis, it represents an important part of the city’s diverse religious past.
