Commissioned in 1553 by Canbolat Bey, the governor of Kilis, it forms the central building of the Canbolat Pasha complex. Also known as Canbolad or Canboladoğlu Mosque, it is a notable example of Ottoman architecture in the city. A large dome measuring 14.40 metres in diameter covers the square prayer hall, complemented by a five-arched entrance portico and a spacious courtyard. The coloured marble mihrab and minbar feature intricate floral and geometric decoration. Tiles above the windows and decorative stonework on the minaret add further architectural interest. Tekke Mosque is a significant stop for visitors exploring historic mosques and cultural heritage in Kilis.
