Savranşah Mosque is a historic Ottoman mosque in the Savran neighbourhood of Çivril, Denizli. Also known as Serbanşah Mosque, it is recorded by Türkiye’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism as having been built in 1882 by Ömer Ağa. Inside, six wooden columns, a decorated timber ceiling and stained-glass windows make it a rewarding stop for visitors interested in traditional architecture. Kültür Portalı Look closely at the painted decorations around the mihrab and along the walls: among the floral designs are unusual depictions of watermelons and knives. The mosque offers plenty of small details to appreciate during a visit to the Çivril area. Dress modestly, ask permission before entering and avoid disturbing worshippers when taking photographs.
