Historical İnkaya Plane Tree, located in the İnkaya neighbourhood along the Uludağ road in Bursa, is one of the region’s most remarkable natural landmarks. More than 600 years old, this magnificent oriental plane tree has a trunk approximately 3 metres in diameter, a circumference of around 10 metres, a height of 37 metres and 13 enormous main branches. Believed to have witnessed the early centuries of the Ottoman era, the tree is treasured not only for its extraordinary size but also for its enduring connection to Bursa’s history. Standing beneath its vast canopy offers a rare opportunity to appreciate the passage of time through a living monument. It makes a memorable stop for travellers heading towards Mount Uludağ and anyone wishing to discover Bursa’s natural and cultural heritage.
